The Sacred Pause
Stepping away from the noise to hear your soul speak.
Created and guided by Dr. Olivia Olivas & Ditte Vangsgaard Olesen
An Invitation to Step Away
Five days. Four nights. One sacred pause.
For five days and four nights, you are invited to step away from the rhythm of everyday life and into one guided by nature, breath, ceremony, connection and stillness.
Surrounded by the Caribbean Sea and the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, The Sacred Pause creates space to slow down, release what you’ve been carrying and reconnect with the deeper wisdom that can become difficult to hear in the movement of everyday life.
This is not an escape from your life. You don’t need to know what’s next — you simply need to be willing to pause long enough to listen.
Welcome to the Sacred Pause.
Your Journey
A Journey in Five Movements
The Sacred Pause unfolds as a journey. It is intentionally small and intimate, allowing something deeper to unfold. We’ve taken over the entire property, creating a space that is completely ours — and because it matters to us that each participant has their own place to integrate, space is limited.
April 17
Arrive
Arrive and soften into a sacred container for transformation and the space to hear your soul speak.
April 18
Release
Through ceremony, energy work, reflection and time in nature, we gently explore what we may be ready to put down — creating room to hear what needs to come through.
April 19
Remember
We uncover the deeper knowing that exists beyond our accomplishments and identities. It’s not about becoming someone new, but remembering something essential about who you already are.
April 20
Receive
We begin to see ourselves and our lives with more insight and clarity. We listen rather than solve. We allow rather than rush.
April 21
Return
Our final morning is devoted to integration, intention and closing our time together — returning home with greater clarity around what you want to carry forward.
The purpose of the pause is not to remain outside your life. It is to return to it differently.
Your Experience
Depth and Spaciousness
The Sacred Pause has been intentionally designed to hold both depth and spaciousness.
Throughout our time together, you’ll experience a thoughtful blend of moments that invite you inward and others that bring us together — with periods of nowhere you need to be.
Because transformation happens in the Sacred Pause.
Held by the Land
The Heart of the World
Gitana del Mar · Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta · Colombia
Rising dramatically from the Caribbean coast, the Sierra Nevada is the ancestral territory of the Kogi, Arhuaco, Wiwa and Kankuamo peoples, whose relationship with this land reaches back for generations. Nestled between these mountains and the Caribbean Sea is Gitana del Mar, our home for The Sacred Pause.
For the Kogi, the Sierra Nevada is known as the Heart of the World — a sacred landscape understood not simply as a place to inhabit, but as a living spiritual center in which the mountains, rivers, ocean, people and natural world exist in relationship with one another.
For five days, this becomes our home.
A place to rest, gather, listen, move, share meals and return to a slower, more embodied way of being.
Created With Intention
Every detail, held with care.
The Sacred Pause is not simply a collection of workshops, ceremonies and experiences brought together over five days. Every detail has been designed with intention — the people, the pace, the setting, the moments of connection, and the spaces in between.
Olivia and Ditte have created this retreat from a shared belief that meaningful transformation cannot be rushed or forced. The practices, principles and ways of being woven throughout are part of their own lived journeys. They understand what it means to question, to release, to listen, to trust, to change — and to continue doing the inner work themselves.
They bring their experience, intuition and training alongside a deep respect for your own inner wisdom. The Sacred Pause is intentionally intimate, creating space for meaningful connection, personal attention and the spaciousness at the heart of this experience.
Meet Your Guides
Dr. Olivia Olivas & Ditte Vangsgaard Olesen
Two women with different paths, different experiences and different gifts — connected by a shared devotion to helping others reconnect with themselves. Together, they create a balance of the grounded and the intuitive, the embodied and the energetic, the practical and the spiritual.
Dr. Olivia Olivas
Physical Therapist · Energy & Shamanic Healer
For more than two decades, Olivia has worked with people through healing, change and transformation. Her journey began in physical therapy, where she walked with people through some of their most difficult days and witnessed the extraordinary wisdom of the human body and the resilience of the human spirit.
Over time, both her work and her own life called her into a deeper exploration of energy, intuition, spirituality and the unseen dimensions of healing — expanding into energy healing, shamanic work and ancestral healing, and a deeper connection to the Earth, the elements and the ancient traditions that remind us we are part of a living, interconnected world.
Her approach is grounded yet intuitive, embodied yet spiritual. She knows what it means to stand at a threshold where the life you have known no longer feels like the whole story — and to discover that the way forward is not always found by accomplishing more, but by having the courage to sit in the pause long enough to hear what is asking to be heard.
Ditte Vangsgaard Olesen
Energy Alchemist · Akashic Records · Ancestral Patterning
Ditte is an energy alchemist whose work explores the relationship between frequency, vibration and intention. Through an approach uniquely her own, she works with the energetic body to help release emotional blocks, stagnant energy and patterns of imbalance that keep people feeling disconnected from themselves.
Her work draws on the wisdom of the Akashic Records as a tool for deeper insight — uncovering what may be held beneath the surface and supporting the body’s innate movement toward harmony. An important part of her work involves ancestral loyalty patterning: exploring inherited programming, emotional patterns and behaviors carried through family lines, and releasing what no longer belongs to you.
Ditte holds a deep reverence for plant medicine allies and draws upon these relationships to support profound experiences of exploration and transformation. At the heart of everything she does is a deeply intuitive presence — rather than imposing a predetermined path, she creates space for energetic shifts and new ways of seeing, inviting you to reconnect with the wisdom already within.
